Saint Francis Newsletter - February 23, 2019

Hello reader,

Come check out our new liturgy! We are using the Liturgy for our Times written by Bishop Gregory Godsey, our pastor. You will find elements of the type of liturgy you are used to, but in a uniquely Old Catholic format.

Also, please take time this week to invite someone new to join us for Mass. The best way to spread the word about our parish is word of mouth!

Toward the end of this email, you will find information about donating to our parish. Right now, we could use all the help we can get. Our continued use of Saint Alban's Episcopal Church for our Sunday Mass depends on your generous support.

And please, join us for Mass at Saint Francis. We believe you will find it to be the welcoming and inclusive home you have been looking for!

Blessings!

Bishop Greg

Here is this week's blog post from Bishop Gregory Godsey:

Birth and Rebirth

The birth of the Christ-Child is just a few days away! Our time of waiting and watching are just about over. Or are they? As any parent will tell you, birth is only the beginning of a greater journey that last for decades. For Mary, the birth of Jesus was overshadowed by the knowledge of what she would face some …

Donations

You might not know this, but here at Saint Francis we do not take up a collection. We believe that when we gather for Mass, we should focus all our attention on the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Stopping to take up a collection diverts our attention from the most important task at hand, spending time with Jesus!

If you would like to donate to our parish, you can do so by leaving a donation in the basket next to the service books in the back of the church or by visiting our website. You can set up reoccurring donations or make a one-time donation at https://saintfrancisoldcatholic.org/support-us/.

As you can see from the link, our site uses state of the art security to protect your financial information from beginning to end.
